Awareness Raising Session to Children on Explosive Remnants of War Risk- Bidaya Center- Jairoud
Bidaya Center volunteers in Jairoud organized an awareness session on the risks of ERW. The session started with an introduction to what ERW are, their types, photos of ERW, and signs of their existence.
The facilitators , in a park tailored for this particular purpose, implemented an activity entitled “Don’t Get Near” where children were taught what to do in case they encounter explosive remnants of war themselves.
The facilitators assured the importance of meticulously following the rules to avoid injury.
Marwa Dalhi, a volunteer, said, “It is crucial to increase awareness on these issues and to provide basic safety instructions to all to reduce risk of injury among children.”
It is worth mentioning that Bidaya Project in Jairoud provides various awareness sessions, activities concerned with child protection, and multifarious clubs.
