Mushroom Cultivation Training- Salim Centre
Salim Community Centre Team held an outdoor training session on oyster mushrooms cultivation.
The supervising agricultural engineer said, “Agriculture is an important pillar of the economy in Sweida. The training was designed to help empower the youth and aid them in their endeavours to start up their own projects in order to provide food and economic security for their families.”
The training session included an introduction on oyster mushroom, its nutritious value, and how to cultivate it. In addition, a hands-on practice was provided for the participants.
It is worth mentioning that Salim Community Centre, which is part of Da’am Project and is funded by UNFPA, provides vocational and agricultural training workshops for the youth to help them become effective citizens in their local communities.
